Our ‘Kemphanen’ have settled well at the training camp in Turkey. The first two days have been intense but highly productive for the group, functioning clearly as a close-knit team both on and off the field.

Today, another challenging day is scheduled for our ‘Kemphanen’ before they get a bit of a break with a few days of recovery and tactical training. On Friday, the stage will conclude with two friendly games. During these last days, Coach De Mil and his team will also be able to count on two additional recruits. Young talents Ilias El Hari, Raf Smekens, Irsan Muric, and Yasser Chikhi will join the training camp in Turkey.

Beyond the sporting aspect, our ‘Kemphanen’ are a team off the field as well. The warm family club spirit, characteristic of Westerlo, becomes even more evident in times of adversity. Currently, Kyan Vaesen is undergoing individual training due to an injury. Adedire Mebude, on the other hand, returned home last night upon learning about the serious car accident involving his brother Dapo. Our thoughts are with Adedire and his family.
