Rik De Mil is the new head coach (T1) of KVC Westerlo. The Belgian coach, who earned his stripes as a youth coach, assistant coach, and also served as the interim coach at Club Brugge last year, has signed a contract for 2,5 seasons with our Kemphanen. With De Mil, KVC brings in one of the most promising coaches in the country, whose football vision seamlessly aligns with that of our club.

The shaper of numerous young talents at Club Brugge becomes the master tactician at KVC Westerlo. Under De Mil’s guidance, many players from the youth circuit have moved up to the highest level in recent years. Familiar faces like Thomas Van Den Keybus and Maxim De Cuyper learned the tricks of the trade under him.

As T1, De Mil has already demonstrated his coaching prowess. Last season, he swiftly guided Club Brugge to a coveted spot in the Play-Off 1.
This combination makes De Mil the dream new head coach of our Kemphanen, where he can use his knowledge and know-how to ensure strong further development of our young talents and let the Westerlo-DNA flourish again with his attractive style of play.
