Our new air force in defence, Emin Bayram, has landed in Westerlo. On the last day of the summer transfer window, the Turkish youth international signed a one-season loan contract with KVC.

Bayram, 1.92 metres tall, comes over from Turkish champions Galatasaray. There, the still only 20-year-old Bayram’s CV includes 20 matches at the highest level and a Champions League match in the last qualifying campaign. 

In the Westerlo dressing room, Bayram will meet an old acquaintance with Ravil Tagir. After all, the two form the heart of the Turkish promising team’s defence. Both newcomer Bayram and Tagir have a call-up letter in their pockets from the national coach for the upcoming European qualifiers -21 against Ireland and Italy. For the next season they will also be able to show their connection together in’t Kuipje.
