Friendly game against PAOK at the Armand Melis Stadium on July 16th

On July 16th, the friendly match between KVC Westerlo and PAOK FC will take place at the Armand Melis Stadium of Dessel Sport, not at the Kuipje. One week before the big fan day, you can already see our Kemphanen in action live against the eight-time winner of the Greek Cup.

The first match on Belgian soil for our Kemphanen after the training camp in Papendal will not be played at the Kuipje but at the Armand Melis Stadium. The home ground of Dessel Sport can accommodate 4,391 spectators, and you can be one of them on July 16th for the friendly match against PAOK FC. Adults pay 10 euros for a ticket, and youngsters under 16 years old pay 6 euros.

PAOK FC is one of the great traditional clubs in Greece. The team from Thessaloniki has been playing continuously in the Greek top division for 65 years. Last year, they finished in fourth place in the league. Within their squad, the name William Troost-Ekong stands out for us. The Nigerian defender with Dutch roots was on the payroll of KAA Gent from 2015 to 2017. This summer, he made a transfer from Watford to PAOK for 1 million euros.
