Tuur Rommens returns to his old nest. The 20-year-old left-back, who was the captain of Jong Genk last season, has just signed a 4-season contract with KVC Westerlo, where he was a familiar face as a talented youth player until the age of nine.
Once a “Kemphaan”, always a “Kemphaan”. After an interval of 11 years, ’t Kuipje once again becomes Tuur Rommens’ home ground. The talented left-back proved himself last season in the Challenger Pro League as the captain of Jong Genk. He ended the season with 31 matches under his belt, contributing 1 goal and 5 assists.
With his move to Westerlo, Rommens is taking a new step in his career. With a four-year contract at ’t Kuipje, our club aims to fully contribute to Rommens’ further development. He has already represented the Young Red Devils twelve times throughout the youth categories.
Wishing you the best of luck in the Kempen region, Tuur!
