Friendly Game KVC Westerlo – Beerschot

Match report

In a game with two faces, our Kemphans won by a wide margin against Beerschot. The first half was evenly matched and the goalkeepers were hardly put to work, although Koen Van Langendonck had to turn out once with a clever save.

In the second half, all Beerschot’s youngsters came onto the pitch and it became a game of cat and mouse. In a short space of time it was 2-0 after goals from Vetokele and Vaesen, albeit after two poor clearances from the Beerschot goalkeeper. In the last 20 minutes, the goals followed in quick succession. Kyan Vaesen scored his second goal of the day, Lukas Van Eenoo scored via a direct free-kick and a header, and “Mami” Gumuskaya was also at the cannon twice, resulting in the weekend ending with a spacious 7-0 victory.
