‘T KUIPJE

HISTORY OF ‘T KUIPJE

’t Kuipje, also sometimes called ’t Kuipke, is a football stadium in the Belgian municipality of Westerlo. It is the home of first division KVC Westerlo. The stadium can accommodate 8,035 spectators.

Westerlo was one of the first Belgian football clubs to remove the crush barriers in its stadium. From the 2008-2009 season, ’t Kuipje also has a heated turf. With this, Westerlo became the third Belgian club to have such a field after KRC Genk and Standard Liège. There are six football fields next to the stadium.
