Norman Bassette scored twice against SK Beveren last Saturday and is now joint top scorer in the Jupiler Pro League.

In a thrilling eight-goal encounter (4-4), Bassette found the back of the net twice. Just before half-time, he put Westerlo 2-1 ahead, before converting a penalty ten minutes into the second half to make it 3-1.

With 7 goals in 9 appearances, Bassette now shares the top spot in the scoring charts with Club Brugge’s Nicolò Tresoldi.

This already marks the most prolific season of his professional career. His previous best was 5 league goals over an entire season.
