Issame Charaï named Manager of the Month
Issame Charaï has been named Pro League Manager of the Month for September. A great accolade for our head coach, who has guided KVC Westerlo to a series of strong results in recent weeks.
After a difficult start to the season, our Kemphanen bounced back in style. Convincing victories over KV Mechelen (4-0), Standard (4-2) and STVV (2-0) saw KVC Westerlo put together an impressive run of results.
And the success did not stop in September. In October, our Kemphanen made a clear statement at ’t Kuipje with a commanding 5-1 victory over Antwerp. KVC Westerlo also continued their good form in the Croky Cup, securing a 2-0 win against Patro Eisden. The match was a special milestone for Charaï, marking his 50th game in charge of KVC Westerlo.
Charaï continues to build a young squad that combines talent with resilience and ambition. Following the victory over Antwerp, the coach was keen to highlight his players’ response after a difficult first half. “What a great reaction from my group of players in the second half. Especially when you consider that we have the youngest team in Belgium on the pitch.”
This recognition from the Pro League is a well-deserved achievement for Charaï and his coaching staff, but also for the entire squad and everyone who contributes to this journey every day.
Congratulations, coach!
