Botond Balogh joins the Kemphanen

KVC Westerlo has added Botond Balogh to its defensive ranks. The 24-year-old Hungarian joins from Italian side Parma and has signed a four-year contract with the club.

Balogh took his first steps in football at MTK Budapest, where he came through the club’s youth academy. In 2019, he moved to Italy and joined Parma. In total, he made 73 appearances for the Italian club, including 32 in Serie A. Last season, the centre-back spent the campaign on loan at Turkish first division club Kocaelispor.

The Hungarian is also a full international. Balogh is part of the Hungary national team and has gained experience at the highest level of international football.

With his arrival, KVC Westerlo adds a defender who brings experience, a winning mentality and defensive stability to the squad.
