Roman Neustädter joins the coaching staff

After an impressive and distinguished playing career, Roman Neustädter has decided to hang up his boots. However, the experienced defender will remain part of the club. From this season onwards, Roman joins the technical staff as an assistant coach of the Kemphanen.

Holding both German and Russian nationality, Roman Neustädter began his professional career at 1. FSV Mainz 05. He then made the step to the top level of German football with Borussia Mönchengladbach. At FC Schalke 04, he established himself as a key player, gaining extensive experience in both the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League.

Later in his career, Roman also played abroad, with spells at Fenerbahçe S.K. and Dynamo Moscow, among others. He also represented the German national team at international level. In the summer of 2022, he joined KVC Westerlo, where he became an important figure within the squad. In total, Roman made 109 official appearances for the Kemphanen. With experience gained at the highest level and across different football cultures, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role at KVC Westerlo.
