Welcome Norman Bassette

KVC Westerlo welcomes Norman Bassette as a new attacking addition to ’t Kuipje. The 21-year-old Belgian joins the club on loan from Coventry City FC. The agreement also includes an option for a permanent transfer.

Born on 9 November 2004, Bassette came through the youth academies of Sporting Charleroi, KAS Eupen and SM Caen. He is familiar with Belgian football, having featured in the Jupiler Pro League during the 2023-2024 season on loan at KV Mechelen, where he showcased his qualities. Afterwards, the forward made the move to English side Coventry City FC, who loaned him out to Stade de Reims and FC Kaiserslautern.

His talent has also been recognised on the international stage. In 2024, he made his debut for the Red Devils under national team coach Domenico Tedesco, earning one cap. He is currently part of the Belgian U21 squad coached by Gill Swerts, for whom he has already scored 6 goals.
