Vaesen, Fixelles & Bernat leave KVC Westerlo

KVC Westerlo bids farewell to Kyan Vaesen, Mathias Fixelles, and Jan Bernat. Three players who played an important role in the championship season of the Challenger Pro League 2021/2022 (then still called the Proximus League) and left their mark on a historic chapter of our club.

Kyan Vaesen
Kyan Vaesen makes a permanent transfer to OH Leuven. Kyan is a true youth product of KVC Westerlo and progressed step by step from our academy to the top level. Over multiple seasons, he left a strong overall impression with 118 appearances, 16 goals, and 11 assists in yellow and blue.

Mathias Fixelles
Mathias Fixelles also says goodbye to KVC Westerlo. With his experience, work ethic, and professionalism, he was an important link within the team. Fixelles appeared a total of 64 times for the Kemphanen, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist.

Jan Bernat
Jan Bernat was initially loaned during the 2021/2022 season and later signed permanently. He played 36 matches for the Kemphanen, contributing 10 goals and 8 assists.
