Antoñito Cordero joins Westerlo on loan

KVC Westerlo strengthens its squad with the young Spanish winger Antoñito Cordero. The 18-year-old promising talent joins on a one-season loan from English side Newcastle United.

Cordero developed through the youth academies of several Spanish clubs before joining FC Málaga in 2021. During the 2024–2025 season, Cordero became a key player for Málaga in the Segunda División. He made 39 appearances, scoring 6 goals and providing 7 assists.

After his contract with FC Málaga ended, Cordero signed a five-year deal with Newcastle United. KVC Westerlo now welcomes him on loan for one season at ’t Kuipje.
