Jungdal signs permanently
After a strong second half of the season as the Kemphanen’s goalkeeper, we are pleased to announce that Andreas Jungdal will continue to wear the KVC Westerlo shirt in the coming years.
The Danish shot-stopper joined us on loan in January from Italian side US Cremonese and quickly established himself as a key figure between the posts. He featured in 17 matches for our club, consistently showcasing his talent and reliability.
KVC Westerlo has now decided to activate the purchase option in his contract. Jungdal signs a permanent deal for three seasons at ’t Kuipje.
Andreas is currently representing Denmark at the UEFA U21 European Championship. This past Sunday evening, he stood out in the match against the Netherlands, making no fewer than ten saves and playing a key role in Denmark’s impressive 1-2 victory. After two matchdays, Denmark has taken the maximum six points and is already guaranteed a spot in the next round. As a result, Jungdal will join the group later, depending on how far Denmark progresses in the tournament.
Welcome (again), Andreas!
