YOUTH: U14 beats leader Club Brugge in ’t Kuipje!

Last weekend all our elite teams played against Club Brugge. Almost all teams had to lose, only the U14 were able to keep the 3 points at home against the youth teams of the national champion.

We would like to give you a small match report:

Club Brugge started the match as expected with high pressure and a lot of ball possession, but due to our good organisation the real chances were missed.
Nevertheless, after 15′, Brugge gained a lead after a small mistake in the build-up, but we didn’t let the cups hang. We played disciplined further in our block and were able to force a few good chances through a quick changeover.

Club Brugge became more and more nervous and started to play a bit hastily, resulting in wrong insertion passes. In this way we gradually got a better grip on the game and we put more and more beautiful combinations on the mat ourselves.
In the last period we scored the deserved equalizer from a corner kick. It was a match out of a book so no we didn’t crawl backwards but went full of guts for the victory.

If that still works you have 2 proud trainers! With a strong organisation and a very big dose of guts and self-confidence we have won today and rightly so and we are on place 6 in the ranking. But the most important thing is that these boys continue to make a lot of progress week after week.
