SYNERGY WITH THE NEIGHBORS

Since the takeover by Mr. Oktay Ercan, KVC Westerlo has been developing into a stable and strong club in all its aspects. An important aspect of this for our club is good youth activities and the promotion of our talented football players.

Based on this line of thought, KVC Westerlo and KFC Houtvenne are entering into an intensive collaboration. There is no question of a merger or takeover. This collaboration is a win-win situation for both clubs in various areas.

Youth work

Each club retains its own identity. KVC Westerlo continues to strive to develop each individual talent at his or her level. Future-oriented, we are working hard on a joint training plan to significantly improve the quality of both youth training courses. Another objective is to organize joint clinics and meetings in order to support our youth trainers even better.

Academy

Talented players from the academy of KVC Westerlo will have the opportunity to develop themselves at a competitive level in a “real” competition in order to make the step towards our first team easier later on.

Accommodation

Houtvenne’s first team will play its league matches on the B site of KVC Westerlo. This makes it clear that both teams can use each other’s accommodation if necessary. This does not mean that the youth teams of KVC Westerlo will have to train at Houtvenne or vice versa. Our players will be able to continue to train and play their matches at KVC Westerlo.

Community

On a community level, we unite both supporter groups to create a strong base and increase the supporter base of both clubs.
