Seven points clear

Today Lommel SK came to visit on a rainy Friday evening. The lineup is pretty much the same as last week. The only change is Erdon Daci who replaces the injured Lyle Foster.

Line-up KVC Westerlo: David Jensen, Edisson Jordanov, Rubin Seigers, Pietro Perdichizzi, Lukas Van Eenoo, Thomas Van den Keybus, Jan Bernat, Maxim De Cuyper, Tuur Dierckx, Erdon Daci (’69 Fernand Gouré), Kyan Vaesen (’78 Lorenzo Noviello)

First Half

The first dangerous chance of the match is immediately for us. Jan Bernat strikes firmly towards the bottom right corner, but Lommel goalkeeper Cristopher Fiermarín is well in between. A few minutes later, another very good chance. This time it’s Erdon Daci who comes alone in front of goal, but again the ball is blocked by the goalkeeper.

In the 36th minute David Jensen has real work for the first time. Lommel cut in through Anello and passed the ball towards the far post. Jensen was ready to take the ball.

After 45 minutes the whistle blows for half-time. We go into the dressing rooms after a pleasant first half and a 0-0 score.

Second Half

Westerlo started the second half very well and it was noticeable. After 12 minutes Erdon Daci puts the ball in the net to open the scoring, his first goal for the club. Less than 5 minutes later Lukas Van Eenoo scored with a solid distance shot that flew into the top right corner, 2-0.

After 94 minutes of soccer, the game was over. We saw a very strong team that gave its all to keep these three points at home.

⚽ Erdon Daci (’56)

⚽ Lukas Van Eenoo (’60)
