Second edition online FIFA tournament KVC Westerlo

WESTERLO – After the successful first edition of the Westel E Cup, the online FIFA tournament will take place again this year. Starting on Monday 12 April, the second week of the Easter holidays, the club will organise for the second time an online FIFA competition for PlayStation 4, the second edition of the Westel E Cup. The tournament is aimed at supporters of KVC Westerlo, but outsiders can also participate. There will also be some players of the first team in the tournament.

Course of the tournament

The Westel E Cup has several phases. The online tournament starts with a direct knock-out phase. The winners of these matches compete in the Champions League group stage, the losers compete in the Europa League group stage. Both group stages are divided into 16 poules of 4 players and in this phase players from the A-core will also enter the tournament.

From all pools, the two best players will advance to the Champions League final phase and the Europa League final phase. Through direct knockout matches, it will be decided who is the best FIFA player of Westerlo and surroundings.

The tournament itself starts on Monday 12 April and ends on Sunday 18 April 2021. All further practical guidelines can be found on the website and social media channels of KVC Westerlo. The finals will be played live at a unique location. Can you guess where?

Participants can register via the website of KVC Westerlo for free. This can be done from Thursday 1 April to Wednesday 7 April 2021. The number of registrations will determine how many players can take part in the tournament, but we are aiming for about 120 participants.
