Preview RFC Seraing

We kick off 2021 with a home game of great importance. Number 2 in the league, RFC Seraing, comes to visit the Westelse Kuipje. In case of a win, our club can play leapfrog. The objective is clear and remains unchanged.

Covid-19 strikes again at Seraing

RFC Seraing misses strongman up front and top scorer Mikautadze on Sunday. Nadrani and Sabaouni also remain at home after receiving their fifth yellow card. Yesterday, it was also announced that Seraing has been hit by the coronavirus again. No less than 5 players tested positive. Despite that, the match will be played next Sunday anyway.

Almost six out of six

On match day three of the 1B Pro League, Westerlo headed for Seraing after two draws. The people from Liège had already scored eight goals, while our kemphanen were stuck with two scoreless draws. With a very convincing performance, Westerlo won 0-2 in the Pairay stadium.

In the home game in November, we had a closed game that only opened up when Westerlo got a penalty in minute 70. Vetokele stayed cool and put the 1-0 on the board. The three points were within reach for a while until Seraing struck in the final minutes and, via a measured cross from Kilote, substitute N’Diaye levelled the score.

Transfers in ’t Kuipje

In contrast to Seraing, our club has already made its move on the transfer market. With Léo Seydoux, Ange-Freddy Plumain and Rubin Seigers, our club has already strengthened itself considerably on several positions. See you Sunday 24 January 2021 at 16h00 in ’t Kuipje!
