Do you remember? We finished our penultimate game before the lockdown in the Sovereign Stadium. After a closed and nerve-racking match it was Christian Brüls who made the 0-1 with a lovely free kick. Or in 2018, when Van Langendonck first stopped a Rocha penalty kick and 10 minutes later Rommens KVC Westerlo made it 0-1 by kicking in his penalty.

Lommel SK has been in the hands of the City Football group since this season and has moved into the transfer market. It mainly attracted young foreign talented players. Just think of Marlos Moreno, Manfred Ugalde, Daniel Grimshaw, … It remains to be seen what this young violence can teach Lommel SK.

There were also some high-profile transfers. Stijn Wuytens, for instance, was taken away from the Dutch AZ. Former ruffian Arno Verschueren also made the transfer from the Netherlands. In 2014, Arno made his debut in professional football at our club.

With 7 out of 18, Lommel has a mediocre start in the league. Liam Manning’s troops had a lot of eagerness in their past matches but there were also a lot of beauty flaws.

Do Van Eenoo, Abrahams and Brüls know where to find the nets on Saturday? Auxiliary trainer Vedran Pelic will be able to give you some advice, he is top marksman for KVC Westerlo in the Soevereinstadion with 4 pieces.

Appointment Saturday 17 October at 20h45 in the Sovereign Stadium in Lommel SK!
