Preview Club NXT
A fun and exciting pot of soccer, we got to see that last weekend against Lommel SK. Westel got the lead through Van Eenoo, got the equalizer immediately after half-time, which caused an anxiety to roll over the bleachers. That was without Atabey Çiçek, who headed the ball 5 minutes before the whistle after a good cross from Brüls. Ecstasy in ’t Kuipje! That this happened again under the watchful eye of president Mr. Oktay is extra positive. The strong man behind Westel was able to see with his own eyes that the whole Westel group is working day in and day out to make this project a success.
Goal fair on the move
The youngsters of Club NXT were not yet able to win any match on displacement. They even scored 20 goals on displacement. That is about 2/3 of the number of goals that Club NXT had to score this season.
After the 2-0 victory at home against Lierse Kempenzonen (the first victory of the season for Club NXT), the youngsters of Rik De Mil are back with their feet on the ground after a 0 out of 6 victory against Deinze and Seraing. Seraing had already finished the job after half an hour and had a comfortable lead in the Daknam stadium via Mikautadze and others. After RWDM, it is only the second team that was able to take the full booty out of the Daknam stadium.
Full for victory
Westel is quietly growing back to its level of last season. Attractive and offensive soccer coupled with the necessary defensive stability. If it wants to pursue its goal (finishing in the two places that entitle it to promotion), it must devour the youngsters of Club NXT in killer mode. If it can pass this stop smoothly and successfully, the real challenge awaits. Number one in the Union SG rankings will have to put up the fire and who knows, who knows, throw the fight back into full swing.
Watching the outbound match we saw a nippy Club NXT quickly avoid 1-0 via Badji. Barely 3 minutes later, Westel put things in order after a header goal from Soumah. Just before half time, Westel forgot to finish it by not converting a penalty. It had the game under control but was not threatening enough to get Club NXT in trouble. After the red card for Biset, it was important to hold on to the draw, which succeeded. Rendezvous Friday in ’t Kuipje at 20h00!
