First half. In the first 20 minutes it was mainly a study round. At the first chance of scoring, it was immediately hit. Francis Amuzu was the author. After a few taps on the right side, he was cleared in the penalty area and it was a breeze for him to kick the ball into the bottom left corner next to goalkeeper Koen Van Langendonck (1-0). A few minutes later, the lead was almost doubled. Striker Stassin, however, headed the sky-high chance wide. On the half hour it was hit. At first Koen was able to parry the ball, but he was beaten in the rebound. The connecting goal came in the name of Thomas Van Den Keybus. Mabea captured the ball from the left, came in and with a (deviated) long shot Thomas was able to outwit goalkeeper Coosemans (2-1). Just before half time, the team from Brussels scored a third goal. A cross from the left landed in Colassin’s feet and he took out with a nice lob, which Van Langendonck had no recourse against.
In the second half, 3 fresh players (Jensen, Jordanov and Noviello) came on the field. Again the first chance was for mauve et blanc. Luckily for us, this one was squandered. Westerlo countered that with a chance for Van Eenoo. Unfortunately, his toe was just too small to tap the ball into the goal. Next chance was for Lorenzo Noviello. Coosemans was able to save the ball. In the last fifteen minutes, 2 youngsters (Yasser Chikhi and Bas Wouters) also got the chance to show themselves. Five minutes before the end, Colassin made his second of the afternoon.
Goals: 20′ Amuzu (1-0), 28′ Stassin (2-0), 40′ Van Den Keybus (2-1), 45′ Colassin (3-1), 85′ Colassin (4-1)
