First Half

In the first quarter of the game the ball is passed around smoothly. Westerlo created a few chances but these were not enough to create danger. Lierse seemed to play on the counter and twice managed to send a striker off alone. The Westerlo defence were alert each time however and Pietro Perdichizzi and Rubin Seigers managed to clear the ball away.

Around the 20th minute Erdon Daci ran down the right flank, causing the Lierse defence some serious problems. He was pulled down by his shirt and the attack was stopped.

In the 30th minute Lyle Foster dived deep into the penalty area. He received the ball well in his foot and shook the nets, 0-1.

Westerlo were clearly the better team in the first half. We deservedly took a commanding lead into the break.

Second Half

In the second half we immediately got a huge chance to make it 0-2. Daci gets the ball to the far post where Maxim De Cuyper is standing alone. He only has to tap the ball into the goal, but he hits it badly and kicks it over goal.

In minute 60 it is a winner. Erdon Daci was sent off well by Lyle Foster. He kicked in the direction of the far corner and goalkeeper De Smet was still there at first but the ball fell into the goal with some luck, 0-2. A few minutes later the ball fell to the Kemphans again. Lyle Foster received the ball from Lukas Van Eenoo, who turned in and shook the net, 0-3.

In the 71st minute, referee Vermeiren awarded a penalty to our Kemphans. The penalty was retaken three times and the score was 0-4. A few minutes later Lierse scored the tying goal to make it 1-4. The match was not over yet, Léo Seydou shook the nets for the fifth time and we went home with a 1-5 victory.
