The first half is characterized by a forward playing Westerlo and countering Patro Eisden. Westerlo get a few chances in the first 20 minutes, but these are just not good enough to result in a goal. Then it is Patro twice that manages to put the ball between the posts, but goalkeeper Nick Gillekens is always alert and keeps his nets clean.
On the half hour mark, Erdon Daci opened the scoring. He received the ball from the right in the middle of the sixteen-metre area and smashed it under the bar. The goalkeeper was without chance and the 1-0 is a fact. In the 42nd minute Erdon almost scored again, but this time the ball fell just short.
Then it was Foster who had a good chance on the edge of the penalty area. Lyle kicked the ball towards goal but was unable to place his shot well enough, so the ball went over. Our team went into the dressing rooms with a 1-0 lead.
Just after halftime, our Kemphans had a good chance to increase the lead further. Leo Seydoux outmanoeuvred two opponents and then passed the ball back to substitute Simon Paulet. Simon kicked the ball low and hard towards goal, but saw his shot go just wide.
In the 67th minute the lead was doubled. Goalkeeper Gillekens sent Lyle Foster away down the left flank with a long ball, which he then played to Seydoux. Seydoux crossed the ball towards the far post where Jan Bernat was waiting and pushed the ball into the net, 2-0.
In minute 70 Patro created danger through a corner kick. Goalkeeper Gillekens was again on hand to prevent a goal. The game goes on very quietly and ends at 2-0.
