Match report KVC Westerlo – AZ Alkmaar

The preparation ended with a game against AZ. The men from Alkmaar are one of the best teams in Holland, as in previous seasons they were always in the top 5 of Dutch professional football.

It was an intense game, with players having to run several kilometres, but no real danger of goals.

For the Kemphans, Pietro Perdichizzi had a header in the 23rd minute after a set-piece, and Lukas had a shot in the 67th minute.

The visitors had just one more chance, which went in. Three minutes before the end, substitute Hakon Evjen managed to put the ball into Sinan Bolat’s goal (0-1).

All in all, coach De Roeck was satisfied with the game he saw today and the group is ready to start the league next week.
