The first half went on very evenly with the action mainly in the middle part of the field. Both teams didn’t have too many chances so the half ended with a logical score of 0-0.
Our Kemphanen came out of the dressing room well. Early in the second half a good run on the right flank started. The ball was passed to the far post, but Igor Vetokele just failed to hit the ball.
A few minutes later Tuur Dierckx comes in from the left flank and hits the ball with a solid shot that ends beautifully in the top left corner, 1-0 for KVC Westerlo.
In the 74th minute Kyan Vaesen sets himself free in the sixteen meter, he receives the ball and kicks it towards the bottom right corner, but goalkeeper Stijn Keller is right there.
Just before the final whistle Almere gets a chance after Soumah has cleared a corner. David Jensen was first in the right, but Almere managed to score in the rebound, 1-1. With this score the final whistle sounds.
