Large participation for the KVC Westerlo Clinic 11 against 11

With the 2024 project, we set ourselves a number of ambitious goals. The first goal remains to be back in first division A in 2022. As the leader in 1B, we are already doing everything we can to realize that goal. At the same time, we have always had the goal of maintaining and further expanding the existing youth development program. With our new clinics for youth coaches, we are pushing this goal forward.

Clinics support the ambitions of our youth coaches
Clinics will be organized on a regular basis, during which tactical principles and coaching skills, among others, will be exchanged. These clinics mainly include practical exercises, although there will always be a theoretical component. Optimal support and guidance for youth coaches contributes to a good development of youth players and a smooth transition to the first team.

First clinic for the Westel youth coaches
On Thursday, November 4, the first clinic was held for all youth coaches in the 11-against-11 series, both the elite youth and the regional series and the ladies. During the first clinic, there was a strong focus on the tactical principles, while extra attention was paid to counter attacks and corner kicks. Especially interesting were the different corner kick approaches between the U13, U14 and U15 on the one hand and the U16, U18 and U21 on the other.

The large participation shows that the youth coaches want to contribute to the further development of our integrated youth training. The next clinic will take place in December. All youth coaches of KVC Westerlo are invited to attend. Also then, a large participation is expected.
