Flashback 2001

On 27 May 2001, KVC Westerlo won the Belgian Cup for the first time in history. They played against Lommel and the match ended 1-0 in favour of KVC Westerlo. Jef Delen worked the ball into the goal in the 36th minute on a cross from Marc Schaessens.

To highlight this highlight in the history of KVC Westerlo, we made a beautiful report. Jan Ceulemans, Rudy Janssens, Jef Delen, Marc Schaessens, Vedran Pelic and Bart Deelkens tell how they experienced this cup win and their time at the club.

In the video, many amusing anecdotes are given. For example, they tell about how the players always put their bonuses together, so at the end of the season they all went to Ibiza.
