ELITE YOUTH KVC WESTERLO AGAIN OBTAINS THE LABEL ELITE 1
After examination of the youth licence files for the Elite label season 2021-2022, all clubs of the Pro League have received the final score.
KVC Westerlo is proud to announce that we, as the only 1B club, will participate next season with our youth training in the highest series of elite football.
KVC Westerlo stranded on a great shared twelfth place and may, after consultation with the Pro League, still participate in the elite 1 competition. Next season, 25 clubs will play in the elite 1 and 2 series. This results in a distribution of 13 clubs in elite 1 and 12 clubs in elite 2.
However, the result of the ’transfer’ part logically saw a drop, as we did not generate any points for our own trained players who could not play matches in the 1st amateur series because of Covid. However, this loss was amply compensated by the licence components ‘salary’, ‘coaching’ and ‘infrastructure’. In these areas we have improved by almost 20%. Unprecedented!
Next season, we will continue on this footing and further perfect our youth training at every level so that young players can develop their talent to the full in an optimal learning environment, with a permanent eye for our social and family characteristics that make our club so beautiful.
