Did you know? Lierse Kempenzonen
Koen Van Langendonck will start in goal. He was told by the coach that he could play the last five games. Koen is a professional top player. A workman on the pitch, an entertainer off it. Always ready to give good advice.
The defensive trio will consist of Yameogo, Seigers and Soumah.
Both against Union and in the friendly matches, they showed their added value. This will be the regular trio at the back for the next games and most probably for next season as well.
Léo Seydoux and Christophe Janssens occupy the flanks. Both have scored very highly in our Man of the Match referendum in recent weeks. They are also types who keep working on a football pitch, who like to get their jersey wet. In short, they are players that supporters love to see play.
Kader Keïta, Lukas Van Eenoo and Kurt Abrahams are the midfielders. It is remarkable that the three smallest players of our team can be found in this midfield.
Igor Vetokele and Atabey Ciçek are the strikers. Both have now scored 23 times in all competitive matches this season. Not such a bad statistic.
In goal stands old guard Bernd Brughmans. Before the new year he was absent from the team for four matches. At the start of the new year he regained his place in the starting line up at the expense of Jarno De Smet.
At the back, we find a quartet of Belgians. Yentl Van Genechten is mopping up the right flank, Brent Laes is on the other side and in the centre are the duo Jordy Gillekens and captain Ben Santermans. Gillekens and Laes came over from OH Leuven in the winter break.
In midfield there is also a winter acquisition, namely Tibeau Swinnen. Born in Diest in Brabant, he played for Thes Sport, PSV Eindhoven, Westerlo, Genk, FC Eindhoven and Helmond Sport. At the last club, his contract was not renewed and so he had to look for a new challenge for six months. He finally found it at the Pallieters. Jellert van Landschoot, who stands on the left side of the triangle, has also played for two Dutch clubs in his provisional career. FC Eindhoven and NEC came his way, after he had first played no less than 13 years in the youth teams of Club Brugge.
The most defensive midfielder is Scott Bitsindou. Scott measures no less than 1m94 and is thus an imposing presence on the pitch. This Belgian Congolese had to leave the field three times already in his early career, because of a yellow/red card.
On the right front today is Jo Gillis. He started the season on the number 10 position, but with the arrival of Swinnen he has moved to the flank.
Ayyoub Allach is the regular penalty taker. He usually plays on the left outside. In 2019, he also got a brief taste of the USL Championship. The professional American second division football league. Deep in the striker’s corner is Euloge Placce Fessou. This Togolese international is leased from first division club Beerschot. Euloge has already scored six times this season, including a hat-trick against Club NXT.
