“As a federation, we can only encourage this kind of cooperation”
This morning, a press conference took place at KVC Westerlo. Here, the cooperation between KVC Westerlo, KFC Houtvenne, Real Noorderwijk and Daltonatheneum Het Leerlabo was explained.
Present at the press conference were Eddy Lambaerts of Real Noorderwijk, Hilde Raets of Daltonatheneum Het Leerlabo, Alain Vets of KFC Houtvenne, Bob Browaeys of Voetbal Vlaanderen, Hasan Cetinkaya and Wim Van Hove of KVC Westerlo. Led by Peter Boons, they explained to the press present the benefits of this cooperation.
Benefits for all parties
KVC Westerlo can share its knowledge with KFC Houtvenne, so they can both grow as a club. Each child has the opportunity to develop as a football player at his or her own level.
By working together with a futsal club like Real Noorderwijk, young footballers can develop both in indoor and outdoor football. This can only benefit their development.
Finally, thanks to the cooperation with Dalton Atheneum Het Leerlabo, it is a lot easier for children to combine sport and school. They are supported in both their studies and their sport, which ensures better results.
Child is the focus
“What is unique about this partnership is that there are four identities here, each of which retains its independence,” says Wim Van Hove. “We increase the quality of each child’s education by working intensively together. Not only the development as a football player is important, but also the development as a person”.
“The child is central and that certainly bears fruit. As a federation, we can only encourage this kind of cooperation. Says Bob Browaeys.
